Starting, the magical experience of one of the most beautiful states, Kerala from the antique town of Cochin (Kochi) that is the most famous for a 450 years old ‘Paradesi Synagogue (worship house for Jewish), St. Francis Church (India’s oldest European church), Gigantic Chinese fishing nets, ancient temples & mosques, Dutch & Portuguese epoch houses, vibrant markets for shopping at nights. After Kochi, visit the most beautiful and largest waterfall of Kerala, Athirapally waterfall that is also known as ‘Niagara of India’. Athirapally, the scenic mixture of lush green forest & water streams, situated 1000 feet above the sea level on Chalakudi river and standing tall at 80 feet. Then, take a scenic drive to reach beautiful hill station Munnar that is famous for its emerald green tea plantations, picturesque town, zigzag lanes, and considered as the perfect honeymoon destination in India. Munnar, located in the district of Idukki, which is the part of Western Ghat, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Another main attraction near Munnar is ‘Eravikulam National Park’, which is also a park of Western Ghat and famous for it’s endangered fauna species – the Nilgiri Tahr. Apart from this ‘Thattekad Bird Sanctuary’, ‘Anamudi peak’, ‘Mattupetty Lake’, ‘Kundale Lake’ are a few other attractions.
The next stop would be at Thekkady that has one of the finest Wildlife reserves of India that is Periyar National park. Periyar tiger reserve is the indigenous home for the Asiatic Elephant, Bengal tigers, White tigers, Sloth Bear, Gaurs, Nilgiri Tahr, and more than 250 bird species. Other attractions near Thekkady are Periyar Lake, Pandikuzhi waterfall, Chellarkovil village, Kumily, and Ramakkalmedu. Then reach to Alappuzha (Alleppy), popularly known as the ‘Venice of the East’ is mainly famous for the houseboats (Kettuvallam) along the stagnant Kerala backwater. Nowadays, it has become the most alluring destination for young married couples. These houseboats are well-equipped with an air conditioner, modern toilet, comfortable living room with an angling balcony to experience the scenic view of Paddy fields, tall standing coconut trees, and rural life of Kerala while floating along the rustic backwater. Then, visit the sleepy little village Kumarakom, situated on Vembanad Lake in Kerala. This heavenly village stocked with Green paddy fields, mangrove forests, coconut trees, waterways, canal and flora, and enchanted sightseeing places.
